Chelsea are among the clubs monitoring the situation of Gianluigi Donnraumma at Paris Saint-Germain.
Donnarumma has 12 months to run on his contract at PSG and has been unable to agree an extension with the European champions.
PSG are now making contingency plans and are close to finalising the signing of Lucas Chevalier from Lille. Chevalier was named Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year in 2024/25 and negotiations are progressing over a deal worth around €40m (£34.6m).
PSG do not want to lose Donnarumma as a free agent and will welcome offers once a deal for Chevalier is completed.
According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Galatasaray and Chelsea are the teams closely monitoring his situation. Manchester City and Manchester United have also been linked by the Italian media.
Chelsea held talks with AC Milan over the signing of Mike Maignan earlier in the window but were unable to agree a fee. Despite Enzo Maresca’s insistence that he is happy with his current goalkeepers, an opportunity to sign Donnarumma could prove appealing.
The 26-year-old was outstanding as PSG won a maiden Champions League last season and has won four league titles since his move to the Parc des Princes from Milan in 2021.
