There are now claims that Chelsea want to line up Eddie Howe this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino having stumbled through this season despite further ridiculous fortunes spent in the transfer market.

Chelsea now having spent a billion pounds since their takeover less than two years ago!

Incredibly, the 68 Premier League matches under these new / current owners, have seen five different managers in charge of them.

It would be a surprise to quite literally nobody if a sixth Chelsea manager under these ludicrous owners was in place for next season.

Reading this below about Chelsea supposedly wanting Eddie Howe, I found some of what these Chelsea fans are saying / believing as incredibly funny.

Chelsea and their fans with such a high opinion of themselves.

It reminds me of what I have read in recent days from Tottenham fans, who honestly believe they could take Alexander Isak away from us!

Independent Chelsea site ‘A Stamford Bridge too far’ reporting – 15 April 2024:

‘Chelsea has a new Premier League manager target amid Mauricio Pochettino’s uncertain future at the club

If Chelsea decide to fire Mauricio Pochettino amid the disastrous season, Simon Phillips (h/t Caught Offside) claims they have a number of options in mind. Eddie Howe is one of the fresh names under consideration, as various sources have lately verified.

Howe was making an impression at Newcastle, but the team’s performance declined dramatically this season…’

‘Large clubs appear to be talking to Howe again, as Chelsea is prepared to look at him as a possible Pochettino alternative. Nevertheless, it’s unclear if Chelsea supporters will all concur that he’s the best option.

Howe is not a popular foreign manager who will turn Chelsea into something completely different by bringing in some unusual and special kind of play. This rumour will, thus, leave a lot of fans cold.

However, he exemplifies the precise type of decision we saw this owner making. They want a head coach who will work with what they have and not cause any issues, not an authoritarian.’

‘So whatever Chelsea fans might think, we have no doubts that if Pochettino goes and Howe moves on from Newcastle, he will be on Chelsea’s list without a doubt. Overall, Howe has done a great job at Newcastle, but if he led Chelsea on a run similar to what the Magpies did earlier in the season—shock losses to teams like Nottingham Forest and Luton—he would not be able to survive.’

It is hilarious that Chelsea fans think their club is something special, just because the Premier League and UEFA allowed Abramovich to come in and buy them loads of trophies.

Now these new clowns have come in and spent even more money but have dragged Chelsea into a shocking state of affairs, especially with the finances of the club, so much money wasted, including staggering amounts of cash to pay managers off, pay clubs off to get their manager, payments to agents, never mind that billion pounds on new players!

If for some truly mad reason the Newcastle United owners decided to get rid of Eddie Howe, I think safe to say that Howe would be taking another break from management rather than joining this joke of a club at Stamford Bridge.
