Under 2.5 Chelsea goals (11/10 with Betfair)

Chelsea have scored just two goals across their two games at Stamford Bridge in the knockout stages of the Europa Conference League. With such a commanding lead, and against inferior opposition, Chelsea could opt to see the game out knowing that their 4-1 lead from the first leg is probably enough to see them through. If Chelsea do decide to shut up shop then they aren’t likely to find the net often and it could be a more slender win than the one the Blues enjoyed in the first leg.

Nicolas Jackson to score anytime (10/11 with Paddy Power)

Nicolas Jackson has scored three goals in his three appearances for Chelsea in the Europa Conference League this season. The 23-year-old hasn’t been able to build on his early season form, where he found the net nine times in 15 appearances but he’s still managed twelve for the term. He’s expected to lead the line for Chelsea and could be a good bet to find the net against opposition that are, at least on paper, much weaker than the Blues.

How both teams go into Chelsea vs Djurgarden

Chelsea are favourites to win the Europa Conference League this season and they’re on the brink of the final. The Blues have won 12 of their 13 games in the competition since the start of the group stage, losing the other. The sole defeat came in the second leg of their quarter-final against Legia Warsaw, but Chelsea had taken a 3-0 advantage into that match. And they bounced back with an emphatic 1-4 win away from home in the first leg of their semi-final. Chelsea are chasing history, looking to become the first team to win the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League.

Chelsea are right in the hunt for Champions League football next season, currently sitting in fifth spot, the highly coveted final Champions League place. They’ve been in fine form, winning their last three league games, including an impressive 3-1 win over Liverpool last time out.

Djurgarden have a mountain to climb against Chelsea, but they showed in the first leg that they can cause problems. The Swedish side asked questions of Chelsea’s defence early on and then nicked a goal in the second half, making this slightly uncomfortable. Djurgarden have had a strong Europa Conference League campaign, finishing fifth in the group stage. That earned them direct passage to the last 16, where Djurgarden came from 1-0 down to beat Pafos 3-1 on aggregate. They then knocked Rapid Vienna out of the quarter-finals, again having lost the first leg 1-0.

The Swedish season has only just started, with Djurgarden playing just six games so far. They’ve won two, drawn two and lost two to leave them in 11th position but they do have a game in hand on the sides around them. A win in that one could see them climb as high as fifth.

Chelsea team news

Malo Gusto and Christopher Nkunku will hope to be in contention to return for this game, if they haven’t already. And if they are back, both could start. But the game will be too soon for Marc Guiu. Wesley Fofana, who is now out for the season, wasn’t registered for the Europa Conference League.

Djurgarden team news

Nino Zugelj and Oskar Fallenius are still out for Djurgardens, having picked up injuries in their quarter-final win over Rapid Vienna. Malkolm Nilson Safqvist is also injured.

Chelsea vs Djurgarden head-to-head

Chelsea’s 1-4 away win was the first-ever competitive meeting between these two sides.
