TEAM NEWS

City have a number of injury doubts for the game in West London.

Aymeric Laporte, Rodrigo, John Stones and Oleksandr Zinchenko all missed last weekend’s draw with Southampton, whilst Ilkay Gundogan has also been carrying a knock.

Pep Guardiola has admitted some fitness concerns remain, though he did not reveal who is available for the trip to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea will be without Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount, but Edouard Mendy is available and Thomas Tuchel has confirmed he will start in goal.

LAST TIME OUT

City thrashed Wycombe Wanderers 6-1 in the Carabao Cup, while Chelsea beat Aston Villa on penalties at Stamford Bridge in the same competition.

LAST MEETING

The two teams met three times in the final weeks of the 2020/21 campaign in three different competitions.

Chelsea won all three meetings, first in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley, then a Premier League win at the Etihad before edging the Champions League final 1-0 at the Estádio do Dragão in Portugal.

Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the game on 42 minutes.
