Former Chelsea star Joe Cole says Thiago Silva should be handed a new contract.
The Brazilian defender was on the scoresheet and performed well for the Blues on Saturday, that despite their 3-2 loss to rivals West Ham.

Speaking to BT Sport, Cole said the 37-year-old has done enough to earn the extension.
"There's no reason why he shouldn't be given another one-year deal because he's been outstanding," he said.
"When he plays in the centre of a three, having the system where the wing-backs are high, he has so many options and when you've got a player with a range of passing like Thiago Silva he's going to look unbelievable."
