Chelsea are considering a move for Inter Milan target Federico Chiesa, but only if Raheem Sterling leaves this summer.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, via FCInterNews.

The future of Chiesa remains one of the big question marks in the last couple weeks of the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old is out of the plans at Juventus. The Bianconeri have made that abundantly clear.

And Chiesa is out of contract with Juventus at the end of next June.

Therefore, there is further pressure on the Turin giants to try and sell Chiesa before the end of the summer transfer window.

Inter have been among the clubs most strongly linked with a move for Chiesa.

The Nerazzurri reportedly have been keeping an eye on the former Fiorentina winger with a view to a possible free transfer signing next summer.

Moreover, Inter have even reportedly been considering taking advantage of Chiesa’s situation by signing him for a cut price fee this summer.

Both Inter and AC Milan have met with the Italian international’s agent, who’s looking for a solution.

There is a new possible destination for Chiesa, however.

According to Sky transfer expert Di Marzio, Premier League giants Chelsea are also eyeing up a move for Chiesa.

The Blues are considering an offer for the 26-year-old in the coming days.

However, Chelsea would only move to sign Chiesa on one condition. They would have to sell former Manchester City and Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling first.

Sterling is a player who is currently in a similar position to Chiesa at Juventus.

The Englishman was not part of Chelsea’s opening day Premier League match against his former team City.

It is hardly a secret that the Blues want to offload Sterling before the end of the summer transfer window.

And if Sterling is to leave Stamford Bridge, then Chelsea would view Chiesa as a replacement.

But on the other hand, if Chelsea do not find a new club for Sterling, then they will not make a move for the out-of-favour Juventus winger.
