Chelsea have drawn Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter finals, in a repeat of last year’s semi final.
The Blues would then face the winner of the Man City vs. Atletico Madrid game, should they make their way past Real.
Chelsea were drawn first, meaning they play the first game at home on the 5th or 6th of April, with the return leg in the Santiago Bernabeu coming a week later.
It’s not the easiest draw, but not the hardest either, with Liverpool, Man City and Bayern Munich all still in the mix.
Real Madrid qualified after a quite miraculous late comeback over PSG, which would inspire any team to believe they can win the whole thing. However, Los Blancos were second best for most of the two legs, and Chelsea will believe they can get the job done.
The final of this season’s tournament is in Paris, having been moved from St Petersburg following the invasion of Ukraine.
