Chelsea will make a €75m bid to sign Real Madrid playmaker Isco on Wednesday.
At least, that’s according to The Sun, who claim Maurizio Sarri wants to bring Isco to Stamford Bridge during the winter transfer window, and the Spaniard will be offered a four-and-a-half year deal worth around €275,000-a-week.
The 26-year-old has fallen out of favour at the Bernabéu under Santiago Solari and has only started one match since the Argentine coach replaced Julen Lopetegui in October.
Earlier this week, reports in Spain suggested Manchester City are interested in signing Isco in the summer, while The Sun claim Arsenal are also keeping tabs on his situation.
But Chelsea are reportedly hoping to jump the queue for the Spain international’s signature and will offer him a hefty signing on fee to sweeten the deal.
The former Málaga player joined Los Blancos in 2013 and has since scored 46 goals and assisted 52 others in 257 appearances for the club.
He is still under contract in the Spanish capital until 2022, and his release clause is a whopping €700 million.
