Chelsea have named their starting side for this weekend’s clash with West Ham United at the London Stadium.
The Blues make the short trip across the capital to face the Hammers in a London derby, with Enzo Maresca’s XI including full Premier League debuts for two summer signings.
Tosin Adarabioyo is brought in in central defence with Wesley Fofana moved to right-back, as Chelsea continue to deal with the absences of Reece James and Malo Gusto.
Adarabioyo moved to Chelsea from Fulham on a free transfer in the summer but has been limited to just 28 minutes of Premier League football to date. The defender’s only starts have come in the Europa Conference League play-off tie with Swiss side Servette.
Jadon Sancho is also included in the team after impressing off the bench on debut at Bournemouth last weekend. The on-loan Manchester United winger set up Christopher Nkunku’s winner as the two substitutes combined on the south coast. However, Nkunku again settles for a place on the bench at West Ham, with Nicolas Jackson preferred to lead the line.
Chelsea XI: Robert Sanchez; Wesley Fofana, Tosin Adarabioyo, Levi Colwill, Marc Cucurella; Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez, Noni Madueke, Cole Palmer, Jadon Sancho; Nicolas Jackson.
West Ham host Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday 21st September. Kick-off at the London Stadium is 12:30p BST.
