The heavy favourites to win this season’s competition, Chelsea remain perfect with nine wins from as many matches so far.

Enzo Maresca’s side extended that unblemished record with a comfortable 3-0 victory during the first leg.

Youngster Tyrique George scored his first senior goal, while Noni Madueke climbed off the bench to net twice after the break.

The Blues are in a strong position to progress to the semi-finals, but will not be taking anything for granted against their Polish opponents.

Maresca has cleverly utilised his squad across the competitions this season, and is likely to name a heavily rotated starting XI from Sunday’s draw with Ipswich Town.

Although, he is unlikely to drift too far from the side that started the first leg.

George may well keep his place after scoring last Thursday, while two-goal Madueke staked his claim to come in.

Nevertheless, Chelsea will be without their top scorer in the competition in Marc Guiu, as well as Romeo Lavia, though both should return before the end of the season.

The same cannot be said for Wesley Fofana and Omari Kellyman – both of whom are out for the remainder of the campaign, while Mykhailo Mudryk remains absent through suspension.

Home comforts for Chelsea

Chelsea are gearing up for the second leg of their 19th quarter-final in European competition, from which they have prevailed in 14 of the previous 18.

Maresca’s side have won all five of their home games in the Conference League this season, scoring 20 goals and conceding just three.

Not only that, but on the 15 previous occasions they have won the first leg of a European tie away from home, they have gone on to complete the job at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues most recently did so against FC Copenhagen in the round of 16 and, barring a spectacular collapse, you would expect them to continue that streak here.
