Kylian Mbappé will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer when his contract expires. As a result, the capital club will need to replace his production, which won’t be easy. Various names have surfaced over the last few weeks, including Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen appears to be leaving Napoli this summer, with Chelsea and PSG cited as potential landing spots for the Nigerian goal scorer. Recently, Sky Sport’s Luca Marchetti believes that the Parisians are a serious contender for the striker.
Italian agent Darío Canovi discussed what will happen in the transfer market and touched on the Osimhen file, noting that the capital club is the likely destination.
“The future of Osimhen? In my opinion, it is likely that he plays for PSG; it would be the most successful purchase after Mbappé’s farewell,” Canovi said in an interview on Radio Goal’s Kiss Kiss Napoli (h/t Diario AS).
Chelsea needs to weigh Osimhen’s salary requests against Financial Fair Play rules. Nonetheless, the Premier League outfit maintains a strong interest in the player despite the challenges.
Regarding PSG, Luis Campos, the sporting advisor, previously brought the 25-year-old to LOSC Lille. However, their approach following the signings of Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos last summer remains unclear.
