Raheem Sterling in talks with Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold to sell his house amid Chelsea interest

According to the Irish Mirror, Raheem Sterling appears to be negotiating to sell his house to Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold amid Chelsea interest. The Blues are apparently in advanced talks to make a £45 million move for the Englishman.

Liverpool right-back Alexander-Arnold could well be thinking about leaving south Manchester. The 23-year-old currently lives on the same street as Paul Pogba, a former Manchester United player, and Alisson, a teammate from Liverpool.

Alexander-Arnold is apparently in talks to purchase Sterling’s £4.5million Cheshire house, which has led to more talk about the Manchester City and England striker potentially moving to the capital.

The pace of negotiations between Chelsea and Manchester City regarding Sterling’s prospective transfer to Stamford Bridge has greatly increased recently. A deal is more likely to be reached, and an agreement is getting closer.

Sterling seems to be stepping up his preparations for a new challenge in west London before the upcoming season, which would seem to indicate that Chelsea’s mooted move for him is moving forward.

Chelsea have struggled to score goals lately, but Sterling has shown that he is a clever operator in that area during his time in Manchester. Over the course of his seven years on City’s roster, he has scored 131 times overall, and he managed to score 17 goals last season.

Sterling might be able to replace Romelu Lukaku, who just secured a loan return to Inter Milan after spending just one year at Stamford Bridge. Although not a like-for-like replacement, the Englishman can still contribute towards goals.

Of course, the move still has a long way to go before it can be confirmed by the clubs. He is proven in England and would be switching to a trophy-winning powerhouse from Man City- who know their way around winning domestic trophies.

The West London neighbourhood is also familiar to him because he spent seven of his formative years there at the Queens Park Rangers academy.

Hopefully, Sterling is wearing Chelsea Blue by the time the window closes because he could be the acquisition of the window if the Blues manage to land him.
