After 11 weeks of uncertainty, Chelsea are set for a new era with Todd Boehly’s consortium finally completing a long-awaited takeover of the club this morning.

Consequently, the Blues are expected to be up and running once again in the transfer market after a spell of inactivity due to the sanctions placed on them by the UK government.

Off the back of a campaign that has left much room for improvement, a busy summer window is expected to follow and here are some new faces that could be plying their trade in west London next season:

Jules Kounde

Jules Kounde has been on Chelsea’s radar for some time now as Thomas Tuchel’s men made an attempt to sign the Frenchman during the last transfer window.

Despite failing to get a deal over the line, The Blues’ interest in the defender has remained firm since then.

Following the departure of Antonio Rudiger, Chelsea are expected to step up their efforts to land Kounde in the coming weeks.

Pau Torres

While Kounde is the prime target in defence, Chelsea are also keen on further reinforcement at the back with Andreas Christensen also set to follow Rudiger out the door.

Per Fabrizio Romano, the West Londoners have been credited with an interest in Pau Torres who has a release clause valued at £50million.

However, they will face competition from both Manchester clubs with United even reportedly readying an official offer for the Spaniard.

Declan Rice

Declan Rice has emerged as one of the Premier League’s leading midfielders over the last two seasons where he has caught the eye at West Ham United.

Rice was a standout performer for David Moyes’ men as they reached the semi-finals of the Europa League during the just-concluded campaign, while also securing a seventh-place finish in the league.

The former Chelsea academy player has been linked with a return and a move could finally materialise this summer, especially with Aurelien Tchoumaneni, who is also a target at Stamford Bridge, now closing in on a switch to Real Madrid.
