Chelsea striker Giroud undergoing AC Milan medical

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud was undergoing a medical at AC Milan on Thursday.

Sky Sports says Giroud arrived in Italy for his Milan medical tests.

Giroud's contract at Chelsea was due to run out this summer but last month, the Premier League club took up the option to extend it by another year.

However, Giroud is now set to have a medical in Italy before signing for Milan in a €2m deal.

His deal with Milan will run two years with the option for a third.
