Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has reportedly declined a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia as he insists on prolonging his time at Inter Milan.

The Belgian star made his return to Appiano Gentile last summer, albeit on a temporary move. But with his loan stint expiring at the end of the month, the player’s future remains in limbo.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, the 30-year-old had an offer on the table from a Saudi club, proposing 100 million euros as net wages for the next three years.

The source claims that the player’s suitors gradually raised the figures in their attempts to convince him. Yet, the former Everton and Man United striker politely rejected the offer.

So while three of his Chelsea teammates have already made the jump to KSA (Kalidou Koulibaly, Edouard Mendy and Hakim Ziyech) Lukaku only has eyes for Inter Milan.

However, if this love story were to continue, the Nerazzurri must find the right formula to convince the striker’s parent club.

As the report tells it, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio tried to negotiate another loan deal, but his attempts were to no avail.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri must come forward with a more enticing proposal, one that proves how much the Italian giants value the Belgium international.

Last season, Lukaku suffered from a slow start before beginning to showcase glimpses of the marauding striker who terrorized Serie A defenses between 2019 and 2021.
