Chelsea ‘still talking to Sevilla’ working on summer deal for Jules Kounde | OneFootball

Chelsea’s hopes to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla are still alive according to a fresh report today.

The Blues tried to sign the centre back last summer but in the end did not pay the fee that his club wanted, despite the player being ready to make the move to London.

Chelsea will push for him again in the summer and according to transfer insider Dean Jones, who has been speaking today on the Si & Dan Talk Chelsea Podcast, Chelsea are ‘still talking to Sevilla’ regarding signing the French international, and they are working on a deal that is likely to be completed in the summer.

The club are still keen to get their man and it appears that he remains their main defensive target to sign. January looks unrealistic now, but at least it appears like we are putting the moves in to sign him for the summer window.

“They’re definitely still talking to Sevilla for Jules Kounde,” Jones said.

“Not necessarily for January but to start sorting out an agreement for the summer.”
