Chelsea are still being strongly linked with signing one Spanish Under-21 star in the summer with one scenario that will help the move.

The news comes off the back of The Blues beating Leicester City 1-0 in the Premier League yesterday afternoon in what was a vital three points in the race for Champions League spots.

It didn’t look like it was going to be Chelsea’s day after Cole Palmer missed a first half penalty when most of us would of put our houses on him scoring it.

Enzo Maresca was very pleased with the three points but he did once again threaten to take off one of his players if they went against his passing tactics.

All in all though it was a good afternoon for Chelsea as they firmly put themselves back in to fourth place in the Premier League.

Chelsea are apparently readying themselves for a summer transfer raid on highly-rated Spain Under-21 international Yeremay Hernandez. The Blues have registered a firm interest in the talented 22-year-old winger.

The rumours suggest that Hernandez will leave his club, Deportivo, if they do not secure promotion to La Liga this summer. They are currently in 11th place, so there is the scenario that could open up to help Chelsea land this deal.

The report is from from Diario AS, who note that Chelsea are prepared to wait for the rising star regardless of the season outcome anyway and mention Enzo Maresca as being the one behind this interest.

I do suspect Chelsea will be in the market for another winger in the summer, so we will have to see if anything happens here.
