Chelsea sign French international forward Ribadeira | OneFootball

Chelsea have completed the signing of French international forward Louna Ribadeira from Arkema Première Ligue club Paris FC.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this afternoon.

Ribadeira is one for the future at Chelsea and she will initially re-join former club Paris FC on loan for the 2024/2025 season.

The 20-year-old spent her early youth in the academy of Benfica Yerres before joining Paris FC in 2018. Ribadeira has gone on to score 12 goals in 45 Arkema Première Ligue appearances for Paris FC at first team level. She has also represented the club in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

On the international stage, Ribadeira made her senior debut for France in their 2-1 UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 qualifying victory over England at St James’ Park in May.

After joining Chelsea, Ribadeira said “I’m so happy to join Chelsea because for me, it is one of the best teams in the world. I’ll continue my development at Paris for now and join Chelsea with more experience and more development of myself as a player.”

Ribadeira becomes Chelsea’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window following the recent additions of Júlia Bartel, Sandy Baltimore, Oriane Jean-François and Lucy Bronze.
