Chelsea have set an asking price for English midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall amid serious interest from Premier League rivals.
According to The Athletic, the Blues will consider bids of around £30 million for the midfielder.
The Blues are not pushing to sell Dewsbury-Hall, nor has the player asked to leave the club. He still has four years left on his contract after joining the club in a £30m deal from Leicester City last summer.
However, he has been forced to accept a secondary role in Enzo Maresca’s squad, so there’s a decent chance that he could leave this summer in search of regular first-team action.
Several clubs have reportedly made enquiries about the English midfielder, although Fulham and West Ham United are believed to be at the forefront.
Fulham have taken their interest one step further by making a formal approach for the 26-year-old.
Dewsbury-Hall enjoyed plenty of success with Maresca in the Championship, with the midfielder scoring 12 goals and weighing in with a further 14 assists as the Foxes won the title.
However, their reunion in West London hasn’t been as fruitful.
Dewsbury-Hall has struggled to make a lasting impact at Stamford Bridge, starting just two Premier League games last season and playing a total of 259 minutes in the league.
Most of his playing time came in the Europa Conference League, but he played a key role in helping Chelsea win the title and complete their European set.
He played 13 times, scoring four goals and providing three assists. The midfielder featured 36 times across all competitions, notching five goals and four assists.
Despite failing to nail down a regular starting spot, Dewsbury-Hall is still valued highly. Chelsea will only consider permanent offers, and any deal would need to exceed the £30m they paid Leicester.
It remains to be seen if either Fulham or West Ham will meet Chelsea’s asking price, but the Blues wouldn’t mind keeping Dewsbury-Hall for at least one more season.
