The defender is looking to play in his preferred position while on loan
Chelsea defender Renato Veiga is due to arrive in Turin on Friday to undergo a medical at Juventus.
The Italian giants have an agreement to sign the 21-year-old on a six-month loan which is expected to cost £4.2million for loan fee and full wages combined.
No option or obligation to buy clause has been inserted into the contract, meaning Veiga will return to Chelsea in July.
Juventus are attempting to get the deal completed in time for Veiga to make his debut on Saturday night in a crucial Serie A match away to Napoli.
There had been plenty of interest in Veiga this month once it appeared possible to sign him on loan, with Juventus having beaten the likes of Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan to his signature.
While Veiga has tended to operate as a full-back for Chelsea - predominantly on the left - Juventus are expected to deploy him at centre-back, which is the player’s preference.

Veiga joined Chelsea for £11.8m in July from Swiss club Basel.
He had made 18 appearances in all competitions for the Blues this season, but only started in the Premier League once.
Chelsea have already had Aaron Anselmino return from a loan at Boca Juniors, and they also triggered an early re-call for Trevoh Chalobah from his loan at Crystal Palace amid a centre-back shortage.
Midfielder Alex Matos has joined Oxford United in the Championship on loan until the end of the season.
