Chelsea relieved after soft home FA Cup third round draw | OneFootball

Chelsea have been handed a little respite in this hectic winter season, receiving a soft FA Cup Third Round draw.

The Blues will play non-league Chesterfield at home, hopefully allowing senior players some decent rest.

It comes at the most crucial moment of the season possible – in between vital Premier League games against Liverpool and then Man City.

We can only imagine what kind of rotated team will be played in that game – with plenty of youngsters ready for a debut at last this season.

Thomas Tuchel reached the final of this competition last season only to lose a disappointing final to Leicester. Despite plenty of other distractions this time around, the team will be keen to go one better and lift the trophy this time.

As always, the games will be played on the second weekend of January, with Chelsea’s third round game this year falling on the 8th.
