Chelsea have turned down a new offer from Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Despite suffering a lengthy Achilles injury, the Bundesliga champions reportedly launched a £22.4m bid for the 18-year-old, which was swiftly rejected by the Blues.

Hudson-Odoi has just one year left on his current deal but Chelsea are determined to sign him to a fresh five-year contract.

The England international is recovering much faster than expected and could be available as soon as the beginning of September.

It was believed that he would miss at least six months when he ruptured his Achilles against Burnley back in April.

Hudson-Odoi featured 24 times under Maurizio Sarri last season, registering five goals and five assists.
