Chelsea would be open to the prospect of luring current Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to Stamford Bridge, journalist Simon Phillips revealed to GIVEMESPORT.
Klopp's Liverpool side have struggled for form this season, with Phillips suggesting Chelsea could swoop in if the German coach left Anfield.
It hasn't been the season either Chelsea or Liverpool would've hoped for at the beginning of the campaign.
The pair's recent 0-0 meeting at Anfield failed to excite, with the two sides having entered the clash in mid-table.

Unsurprisingly, since that match, the pressure on both Chelsea and Liverpool's managers has increased tenfold, with results failing to improve for either coach.
As far as Liverpool are concerned, their decline has been a sharp one compared to last season's record-breaking campaign.
According to Sky Sports reporter Melissa Reddy, the Reds have experienced a "brain drain", with a number of key backroom staff having left Liverpool in recent months (Sky Sports).
Among those names were Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon and sporting director Michael Edwards, who both departed the club this season.
Gordon and Edwards were both said to have been crucial to Klopp's operations at Anfield, with their exit having muted Liverpool's competitive edge.
Speaking about the potential of Klopp joining the Blues in the near future, journalist Phillips hinted it's a move the Chelsea hierarchy would jump all over.
On the 55-year-old, Phillips said: "I think Klopp, if he did become available, he would appeal to Chelsea's hierarchy just purely because of who he is, what he's done and what he's proven.
"Chelsea would probably have an eye on that.”
In short, the odds look slim. Despite his struggles this season, Klopp has remained steadfast in his commitment to Liverpool.
The ex-Borussia Dortmund chief penned fresh terms on his contract in April 2022 - a deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2026 (The Athletic).
What's more, the official line coming out of Liverpool appears to be that Klopp is committed to a long-term project at Liverpool.
According to The Guardian, Klopp's appetite to succeed at Liverpool remains as strong as ever, with the manager reportedly having ruled out walking away from his role this season.
However, there have been some signs of pressure starting to show, not least a recent outburst following Liverpool's shock defeat away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, where Klopp refused to speak to Athletic reporter James Pearce.
Will it constitute enough for Klopp to walkway? Probably not. But it's likely Chelsea will be monitoring his situation regardless, just in case the opportunity arises.
