Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Joao Felix on loan from Atletico Madrid, per David Ornstein of the Athletic.
Arsenal and Manchester United were interested in securing the services of Felix.
But it appears that the Blues have won the race for the 23-year-old.
Per the Evening Standard, Chelsea have agreed to pay the Spanish club £10million to sign Felix on loan until the end of the season.
Chelsea have also agreed to cover his full £270,000-a-week salary for six months, which would cost them £6m.
It is unknown whether Chelsea will have the option to make the deal permanant at this time.
Chelsea’s player wages will get even crazier once Felix signs.
The Portuguese forward will become their fourth highest-paid player. He’ll also be one of 19 Chelsea players to be paid £100,000-a-week or more.
