Chelsea have a number of pretty key players with contracts running down either at the end of this season, or the end of next season.
Either way, they need to start getting on top of some of the contract situations and make some decisions on players. We don’t want to be in the same situations we have faced in the last two seasons with the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen last season, and now Jorginho and N’Golo Kante this season. If we are not renewing contracts or getting a sense that a player has no desire to, then we must sell them as soon as possible.
Christian Pulisic has no desire to sign a new Chelsea contract extension as of now, according to The Athletic, and his contract runs out in 2024.
The report does state that Pulisic is happy at Chelsea and in London, but it’s more to do with not being a key player here. Chelsea could sell with an asking price of around £35m.
