Chelsea pair continue to interest rebuilding Barcelona

Barcelona have their new manager in place, they’ve cleared some of their wage bill mess, and they finally sound like they’re ready to spend some money.

At least, that’s what the transfer rumours writers of the internet think. The Sun are the latest to report on alleged interest in Chelsea players, with Timo Werner now joining Hakim Ziyech on the list of Blues apparently interesting the Blaugrana.

Thomas Tuchel seems like to both of them, but it’s clear that neither is a truly top tier star, and although it would be hard, Chelsea can do better if they time their move right.

A January sale for either seems very unlikely, as Tuchel likely wouldn’t be able to replace them, but if Barca keep getting their house in order, and neither player becomes an undisputed first team choice long term, we can see one of them going to Spain this summer.
