Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich closest aides are set to meet with Goztepe chairman Mehmet Sepil about buying the Turkish club.

Sepil has announced he is stepping down as chairman and plans to sell his controlling stake in the club.

Fanatik says Abramovich initiated talks for Goztepe last week and his representatives have been speaking with Sepil for several days.

Sepil and his directors are now set to meet face-to-face with Abramovich's closest representatives in the coming days to consider the club sale.

Abramovich's yacht has been docked on Turkish coast for the past week.
