The summer transfer window is running down now but Chelsea are confident of making two more new signings.

That is according to one fresh report that’s come out this Tuesday lunchtime at least.

Sources: Chelsea now expecting permanent offers in for Christopher Nkunku!

As you will know by now, Chelsea have been trying to sign Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig, as well as Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.

The Simons stuff has become pretty frustrating really, but there is still an expectation that Chelsea will be signing him this window.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also put out more info on it last night when he told DAZN that he gives Simons to Chelsea an 85% chance of still happening this window, which is very positive I guess.

I mean, we’ve heard that all before haven’t we? That Chelsea are confident of signing Simons?

But The Evening Standard are claiming again today that Chelsea remain confident they can sign both Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho.

The Blues’ recruitment team have apparently been in direct talks to sign both players for a number of weeks now, and confidence remains high that both deals can eventually be done.

Sales needed though

As we have been hearing for some time now though, Chelsea still need to get more sales over the line before they can sign the two players above.

The report goes on to say that Chelsea are working on securing player sales, which would accelerate the arrival of Simons and Garnacho. Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson are two players who will leave if suitable exits can be resolved.

So there you have it, sell some players and Simons and Garnacho arrive.
