Chelsea manager Tuchel sweating on Rudiger, Lukaku for Brentford trip

Chelsea are sweating on the fitness of Antonio Rudiger and Romelu Lukaku ahead of Saturday's trip to Brentford, according to the Evening Standard.

Both players suffered injury concerns whilst away on international duty over the past week.

Lukaku was unable to play for Belgium in their Nations League third-place play-off against Italy.

Chelsea allowed the 28-year-old to return to his homeland for recovery rather than Cobham.

Rudiger suffered a back injury whilst training with Germany, which ruled him out of their World Cup qualifier against North Macedonia.

In positive news for Thomas Tuchel, N'Golo Kante is fit and available to face the Bees.

The France international has recovered from COVID-19 which forced him to miss games against Juventus and Southampton before the international break.
