European Champions Chelsea are said to be offering €100 million to re-sign Inter star Romelu Lukaku and they’d be willing to increase their offer to around €130 million as well.

This comes from today’s edition of Corriere della Sera, which claims that Chelsea’s mission for Lukaku has now started and Roman Abramovich has sent his son to Milan to establish contacts with the entourage of the Belgian star. While talks are underway, Lukaku’s willingness to stay at Inter is blocking negotiations.

He is happy at Inter and isn’t convinced about returning to Chelsea, despite them offering a wage of €10 million a season and that is much more than the €7.5 million he earns at Inter.

While Inter want to keep Lukaku, they aren’t in a great financial situation and the sale of Achraf Hakimi wasn’t enough to stabilise their finances. The report claims that Chelsea could even be willing to offer Davide Zappacosta, Emerson or even Timo Werner in the deal and Inter are viewing Duvan Zapata and Giacomo Raspadori as alternatives.
