Chelsea look to make swift manager appointment as players show disappointment

Chelsea are reportedly looking to make a swift appointment to bring their next manager in to Stamford Bridge to replace Mauricio Pochettino who departed the club yesterday.

It’s all the news at the moment, all centered around Pochettino and Chelsea parting ways, and probably not the news we all expected to be reading and writing about right now as we head to another summer transfer window opening very soon.

Sources: Chelsea have already chosen their new manager to replace Pochettino!!

Pochettino wasn’t sacked, but he agreed to mutually part ways with Chelsea after it seems like there was a number of disagreements between the two parties. It also doesn’t sound like anything ended with any fallouts and the breakup was amicable (sounds like I’m talking about a love relationship right now!)

Chelsea will now look to bring in a new manager as soon as they can, and The Guardian report that Chelsea hope to make a swift appointment.

Players are very disappointed

The same report goes on to say that Chelsea’s players have been left shocked by Mauricio Pochettino leaving his post as head coach.

Pochettino had strong support from his players after a positive end to his first season in charge and news of his departure has not gone down well within the dressing room.

The mood was apparently summed up by a senior player expressing concern at the constant upheaval at Chelsea. A source close to another player said his client could not believe the news.

Many Chelsea players have been posting tributes to Pochettino via social media and it looks like they are generally quite upset and disappointed that the Argentine has left the club.

He seemed to be a popular figure amongst The Blues players even if he wasn’t always such a popular figure amongst the Chelsea supporters who failed to really create a connection with them.
