TeamTalk are reporting that Chelsea are interested in 20 year old Zach Robinson as an option to join their youth team.

The talent was a key player for his namesake Mark Robinson at Wimbledon last year, and now that his old coach has joined Chelsea to coach the development squad, it’s clear to see where these links are coming from.

“A host” of clubs are credited with an interest in the forward, who is now a free agent. It probably wouldn’t be realistic to think of him as a player with a great chance of breaking into the first team, but he would really upgrade the development squad and would help Mark Robinson settle in with a familiar player he knows well.

It might also spell the promotion of Harvey Vale or Jude Soonsup Bell to the first team, or to a loan elsewhere.

This is certainly one to keep an eye on.
