One Chelsea legend says that his former club should have signed James Maddison and James Ward-Prowse.

A lot has been said recently about Chelsea’s squad build and the failure to sign proven experienced Premier League players, and some have been more vocal on this than others.

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf has certainly been one who has been vocal on this and says that the owners have made big mistakes by ignoring experienced players and only sign young and raw players. He believes the club miss leadership qualities too.

As you can see below, Leboeuf says Chelsea should have signed Ward-Prowse and Maddison in the summer because they would have cost little money compared to other players they signed for large fees.

I don’t really disagree with this either to be honest, I think one of them, maybe not both, but one of them could have been a smart addition to our squad this summer.
