Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has been nominated for the Lev Yashin Trophy - while Liverpool's Alisson has missed out.

Senegal international Mendy played a crucial role in last term's Champions League triumph.

And Mendy could now be in line to add to his European Goalkeeper of the Year award from Uefa in August.

Mendy's most likely threat will come from PSG's Gianluigi Donnarumma, who was a rock at the back as Italy won Euro 2020.
