Right from the first whistle, City’s game plan was evident as they pressured Chelsea’s backline for the first 25 minutes. Yet, the visitors made the most of the opportunities they had.

City were caught on their heels defending a corner despite Alex Greenwood marking the near post and Sam Kerr’s pin-point header found the back of the net. Minutes after though, an alert Chloe Kelly made it 1-1.

Later, goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck brought down Kerr in the box, allowing Pernille Harder to make it 2-1 from the spot for Chelsea.

After the break, the hosts kept the pressure on and Lauren Hemp made the most of a Chelsea error to level it 2-2.

Almost immediately after, Ann-Katrin Berger made a game-saving stop to deny the hosts from taking all three points.

With the result, Chelsea maintain their two-point lead over City at the top of the table with two matches to go.
