Bayern Munich are “pushing like crazy” to finalise a deal for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson according to Fabrizio Romano.

Jackson is expected to leave before the end of the window, but as of yet a deal hasn’t been finalised for the 24-year-old.

The Senegal international has fallen down the pecking order following the arrival of both Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, and is now expected to embark on a new challenge.

Bayern Munich pushing to finalise Nicolas Jackson move

Chelsea are said to value Jackson at around £80m, but at this late stage of the window they know they won’t get that fee.

The Blues are now open to loaning Jackson, but would expect an obligation to buy and a big loan fee, reportedly around £10m.

Jackson isn’t short of suitors and is attracting interest from clubs both in Europe and the Premier League, but he’s set his sights on a move abroad.

Bayern Munich are very close to signing Jackson on loan, but the final details have yet to be agreed upon, and Romano has provided an update on the situation.

“Bayern are still pushing a lot to sign Nicolas Jackson on loan,” he told his YouTube channel.

“Pushing like crazy to get it done, but Chelsea is still waiting, maybe for other clubs to enter the race, notably from the Premier League.

“Waiting for the final solution.”

Fermin Lopez to join Chelsea?

Chelsea can’t bring anyone else in until Jackson leaves, and the expectation was the Blues would finalise a move for Xavi Simons.

However, Chelsea still haven’t made an offer, and Simons now appears to be closing in on a move to rivals Tottenham.

The Blues could switch their attention to Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez, who they like but a deal isn’t advanced at this stage.

There’s reportedly no indication Lopez wants to leave Barcelona, and it will be fascinating to see how the saga plays out over the final few days of the window.
