Chelsea are reportedly leading the race to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.
According to Sky Sport Switzerland, the Blues are actively working to enhance their attacking options with the 20-year-old.
His representatives have already spoken to interested clubs, and it appears he has decided to leave.
Dortmund’s management were informed of his decision last week and will sanction a move.
Bynoe-Gittens has been one of Dortmund’s bright spots this season, scoring eight goals and four assists in the league.
Dortmund are eighth in the Bundesliga table, six points away from the Champions League places.
If Chelsea qualify for UEFA’s top club competition, their hopes of signing Gittens would improve.
Dortmund will not accept less than €75 million for Gittens. That price tag has already caused some clubs, including Liverpool, to back away.
Chelsea need fresh energy in the final third and want to solve that issue this summer.
The Blues already have several wingers, including Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk, Pedro Neto and Omari Kellyman.
With Bynoe-Gittens on their radar, they may have to sell some players to create space.
Bayern Munich have also shown interest in him. However, Bynoe-Gittens is focused on returning to the Premier League.
Gittens spent time with Reading, Chelsea and Manchester City as a youngster and wants to return to England to boost his chances of an international call-up.
