Chelsea have big historical transfer target still on the radar under new owners | OneFootball

There are some transfer targets that will just stay transfer targets at a club regardless of the manager or owners in place at the time.

This has happened with Chelsea and Declan Rice of West Ham. The Blues new owners are still keen on signing the midfielder in one of the next two transfer windows, as first reported yesterday by Si & Dan Talk Chelsea.

Rice was a target under Roman Abramovich as well, and both Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel were keen on signing him during their tenor at the club.

Now, it has been reiterated again by reliable Chelsea source Matt Law of The Telegraph that Chelsea still have Rice on their radar as they look to add another midfielder or two to the ranks next summer.

Rice won’t come cheap as we know, and his club are still reluctant to sell. However, as the transfer windows goes by the more attainable Rice becomes with his contract ticking down.
