It’s half time in the Chelsea – Spurs game, after what was a really enthralling 45 minutes.

Chelsea rode their luck at times, and Tottenham certainly put up a much stronger fight than anticipated, but there were still plenty of chances for the Blues.

They had a couple of smart breaks, and a couple of half chances, but weren’t able to really test Hugo Lloris.

Lots of fans on social media blamed Mason Mount, who made the wrong call a couple of times in the final third.

One example was pointed out in particular – showing how Mount had passed to Lukaku instead of sliding Kai Havertz in on goal.

There’s no doubting that Mount didn’t have his best 45 minutes, but picking out individual screenshots as evidence is futile, as we’ve said so many times before.

Havertz and Lukaku had their own issues in the first half, and picking on Mount is nonsensical. As for this particular example, the play in action tells a different story to a single still.
