Chelsea are reportedly eyeing Watford boss Javi Gracia as a potential successor for Maurizio Sarri should he leave the club this summer.
Despite securing a top four finish and winning the Europa League, uncertainty surrounds the Italian’s future with Juventus heavily linked.
According to ESPNFC, the Chelsea hierarchy have been impressed by Gracia, who guided the Hornets to an FA Cup final in his first full season.
The 49-year-old is considered progressive (both in terms of tactics and work behind the scenes) which appeals to the Blues’ board.
It’s understood that Chelsea would be willing to let Sarri join Juventus should they pay compensation – which is expected to be around €12m.
Frank Lampard, Nuno Esperito Santo and Laurent Blanc are also being considered.
