Chelsea are interested in a pre-agreement deal to sign Emanuel Emegha from sister-club Strasbourg in 2026.
Emegha has caught the eye at Strasbourg this season, helping the French side to a seventh-place finish in Ligue 1. Strasbourg are owned by the Todd Boehly-led BlueCo, who also own Chelsea.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that the West Londoners are hopeful of reaching an agreement to bring Emegha to the Premier League, though will allow the 22-year-old to remain at Strasbourg for the 2025/26 campaign. Strasbourg will compete in European competition next season.
Chelsea are aware of rival interest in Emegha from England, with West Ham United among the sides reportedly considering a summer approach. He is valued at around £30m.
Emegha joined Strasbourg from Sturm Graz in 2023 and has since scored 22 goals in 55 league appearances. Only five players scored more goals than Emegha in Ligue 1 last season and Chelsea view the Netherlands u-21 international as a player of huge potential.
Chelsea are keen to sign a striker this summer and have been heavily linked with Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike in recent days.
