Chelsea have doubled down on their support for head coach Enzo Maresca and believe his style is a route to success at the club.

Maresca is the fall guy at the moment for many supporters but really, the frustrations need to be aimed above him at the sporting directors and at the owners of the club.

EXCLUSIVE! Enzo Maresca under pressure with Blues hierarchy unhappy and concerned with results and form!

The PR nonsense that is now coming out today is an absolute joke. Chelsea have once again been busy feeding the media with stupid briefings that they feel are wise to put out. One thing to tell them right now, ‘read the damn room’ !!

The Athletic have an article out today which has clearly been given to them direct from Chelsea, praising all their decisions, reasons why, and backing what they are doing and backing Maresca. Pretty sure we heard the same sort of content this time last year right before they ended up getting rid of Mauricio Pochettino, right? Well, here it all comes again, this time for Maresca.

The Athletic report Chelsea view Enzo Maresca’s style as a route to success – and they’re building the club around it. They believe it suits the players they have signed and the ones they intend to sign in the future. A style of football they believe offers the best chance of transforming this vast recruitment project into a consistent winner on the pitch at the highest level.

They go on to say that Chelsea wants Maresca to be their long-term leader, and he is less than halfway through what is regarded by them as effectively a double season, with two PL campaigns bookending the Club World Cup in the US.

Well that is a load of nonsense if I’ve ever read any before!!
