Chelsea took on Panathinaikos in Conference League action on Thursday night.
Here’s what went down.
Scorers: Félix 22′, 55′, Mudryk 48′, Nkunku 59′ (PEN); Pellestri 69′
Chelsea recorded a 4-1 away victory over Panathinaikos in Conference League action.
João Félix was instrumental in Chelsea’s opener, winning the flick-on from the initial diagonal ball, before getting on the end of Mykhailo Mudryk’s cross to deliver the close-range finish.
Into the second half and Mudryk soon had a goal of his own when he got on the end of a superb cross from Pedro Neto, heading in at the far post.
Chelsea were cruising when Félix curled in his second, the chance coming from yet another assist from Mudryk.
A handball inside the box saw the Blues awarded a penalty, and Christopher Nkunku converted with a hard and low shot into the corner.
The Greek side pulled one back when some slick passing around the box left the Chelsea defence flat-footed, and Facundo Pellistri was on hand to deliver the finish.
It’s back to Stamford Bridge next for Enzo Maresca’s side, as they face Newcastle in Premier League action on Sunday.
