Poor Trevoh Chalobah has been on the exit ramp at Chelsea for a year now, but things just aren’t working out for him.
He stuck around for the second half of last season and didn’t get a chance, with all of the new signings being preferred to him. Then in the summer he didn’t get a move either, and an injury towards the end of the window stopped any last minute exit.
Since then he’s been out of action, and the interest which was so plentiful 12 months ago seemed to have died away as clubs waited for him to recover and prove his fitness.
The good news is that for the first time in a while, the rumours about Bayern Munich (managed by Thomas Tuchel, the man who gave Chalobah his break at Chelsea) have fired up again. Florian Plettenburg has just Tweeted that there is “new movement” between Chalobah and Bayern.
There’s “contact” now and talk about a loan move. The Germans need a central defender able to play at right back, and if Trevoh is fit, he fits the bill.
