It is understood that the deal includes an obligation to buy worth a reported £12m if certain conditions are met.
Sarr joined the Blues on a free transfer from Nice in 2020 but hasn’t been able to establish himself as a first-team regular under manager Thomas Tuchel.
With Sarr not included in Tuchel’s 20-man squad for their Premier League game at Everton as well as the summer addition of Kalidou Koulibaly and the reported interest in Leicester Welsey Fofana, Chelsea are seemingly moving on from the Frenchman.
The 23-year-old has made 21 appearances for the Blues, including eight in the Premier League.
