Chelsea could welcome up to three more signings after Andrey Santos and Benoit Badiashile in the January window, transfer insider Dean Jones has told GIVEMESPORT.

It comes just months after the Blues smashed the record for the most money spent by one Premier League club in a transfer window.

What’s the latest news involving Chelsea’s transfers?

After completing a takeover worth £4.25 billion in the summer, Todd Boehly didn’t wait around before splashing the cash, spending a record-breaking £278 million on nine new arrivals. Welcoming the likes of Raheem Sterling, Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella in deals all over or close to £50 million, it looks like the Blues could be about to go big once again in January.

Journalist Simon Phillips recently told GIVEMESPORT Chelsea could be eyeing up at least three new signings in the January window, as Graham Potter aims to shape his new-look side. This claim was supported by CBS journalist Ben Jacobs, who revealed the west Londoners are looking to strengthen in all areas of the pitch.

The most advanced of any January deal for Chelsea is their pursuit of Monaco defender Badiashile, with The Athletic reporting an agreement has been struck between the two clubs. Badiashile, who has made over 100 senior appearances in France, is expected to complete a deal worth between £32.8 million £33.7 million.

What’s more, Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos is also expected to sign on the dotted line for the Blues, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reporting the move is already a done deal. Upon completion of the £11 million move for Santos, Chelsea’s overall spend would have eclipsed well over £300 million for the season, but it doesn’t look as if they’re willing to stop there.

What’s Jones said about Chelsea’s transfers?

In one of the most remarkable transfer windows of all time, Chelsea look set to break the bank once more, with transfer insider Jones telling GIVEMESPORT another three players could come through the Stamford Bridge doors.

“Chelsea are one of the most interesting teams to watch in this window,” Jones told GMS.

“After the Santos and Badiashile signings, I still think two more are possible, maybe even three but it depends how soon business can be done.”

Who else might Chelsea sign in January?

The name on everybody’s lips connected to Chelsea is, of course, Enzo Fernandez. The World Cup Young Player of the Tournament only arrived at Benfica in the summer for £15 million, but the Portuguese club could be about to flip Fernandez for close to 10 times what they paid for him. While Chelsea remain keen in the 21-year-old, the Blues are reluctant to meet Benfica’s £112 million release clause, instead favouring a more staggered payment plan, as per reports.

Fernandez’s World Cup-winning teammate, Alexis Mac Allister, is also catching the eye of the two-time European champions, having impressed for Brighton & Hove Albion. Much like various other European outfits, Chelsea are believed to be interested in the dynamic midfielder, but a January deal appears unlikely.

Elsewhere, Chelsea are also said to have entered the race for number-one Arsenal target, Mykhailo Mudryk, with Potter’s side attempting to hijack the deal for the Shakhtar Donetsk winger. Arsenal have already seen a £55 million bid rejected for the Ukrainian international, with the Gunners now facing competition from London rivals Chelsea.
