Chelsea could lose their heaviest and lightest player this summer | OneFootball

The season is over, and we’re still a month or more away from any friendly action. So how are we going to entertain ourselves?

How about some statistical curiosities about Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea squad.

We’ve just been looking at the squad list from last season, and noted that the heaviest player according to WhoScored was Romelu Lukaku, listed at 93kg.

The lightest? Emerson, listed at 63kg – which is tiny.

Of course, weight numbers in particular have to be taken with a grain of salt. Players fluctuate in weight week to week, let alone season so season, and this data is often taken from obscure sources from years ago.

It’s quite funny to imagine Lukaku being 1.5 Emersons, though. Surely that can’t be right.

Both players have been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge this summer. If both go, at least we will continue to have a “balanced” squad, at least in the most literal sense…
