Chelsea could be planning to offload a bunch of players to Saudi again

Chelsea might well be planning to once again offload a bunch of their current players to the Saudi Arabia league this summer, according to a report today.

The Telegraph reports that Blues chairman Todd Boehly has once again been having meetings with officials in Saudi. And although they do not report an actual reason for the meetings, they speculate that it is likely to be because Chelsea want to sell some players to Saudi again like they did last summer!

Last week Chelsea announced pre-tax losses of £90.1 million, with some of Chelsea’s rivals believing they need to raise at least £100 million in player sales by June 30, a figure and timeline the Blues refute.

Boehly got the club out of potential financial problems last summer by personally setting up deals for Kalidou Koulibaly and Edouard Mendy to join Al-Hilal before the June 30 accounting cut-off.

And it looks like he might try to do the same now with the likes of Kepa Arrizabalga, Trevoh Chalobah, Marc Cucurella, and Romelu Lukaku all mentioned.
