Mayra Ramírez, Guro Reiten and Aggie Beever-Jones were on target for The Blues as they made it six wins out of six in league competition.
Chelsea almost scored early on through a Reiten corner. The set-piece was taken short and the ball almost swerved into the Liverpool goal.
Liverpool keeper Rachael Laws has been in good form of late and she had a moment of brilliance as she sprinted across goal to deny Johanna Rytting Kaneryd the opener.
Chelsea eventually broke the deadlock in the 37th minute. Ramírez hit the crossbar before the ball landed at the feet of Reiten. Her shot was blocked before Ramírez fired the loose ball home.
Five minutes later, The Blues got their second goal of the afternoon. Laws was caught out of position and Reiten struck a shot early and the ball rolled into the net.
Liverpool threatened to get back into the game when Olivia Smith played a ball to captain Taylor Hinds but her effort went just over the crossbar.
Chelsea then went close to scoring a third when Erin Cuthbert took aim at goal. The ball swerved dangerously but Laws got a hand to it and tipped it over the crossbar.
The Blues did eventually end the game 3-0 winners. Substitute Beever-Jones delivered the third goal in second half stoppage time. Ramírez played a pass to Wieke Kaptein who attempted a shot but the ball fell nicely for Beever-Jones to put into the net.
Liverpool now turn their attention towards next weekend’s Merseyside derby at Everton while Chelsea travel to Celtic in the UEFA Women’s Champions League in midweek.
