Chelsea confirm signing of Alejandro Garnacho from Man Utd | OneFootball

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United on a seven-year deal.

The Argentinian has been the subject of interest from Chelsea all summer and has moved to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth around £40m.

Speaking to Chelsea’s website, Garnacho said: “It’s an incredible moment for my family and I to join this great club. I can’t wait to get started. I watched the Club World Cup and to join the world champions is special – we’re the best team in the world! It’s amazing to be here and I’m very happy.”

Garnacho already has a very impressive record at just 21, playing 144 games for United and registering 48 goal involvements in that time.

He will provide some much needed depth out wide for the Blues, after the sale of Noni Madueke and with Raheem Sterling free to leave the club.

Garnacho should be available for contention after the international break, when Chelsea will face Brentford at the Gtech Stadium.
